Whimsical Mist

Polishes used:
Aqua Mist With a Twist- Misa (Two coats)
Whimsical- Revlon (Two coats)

It was hard getting any colour out of these puppies, even after 2 coats of Aqua Mist and two coats of Whimsical. (But that's what you get when you do sheer polish over sheer polish I guess.) Anyhoo, I still really likes the final result, it was very pretty and dainty. :)

Dizzy stamped holo!

 Polishes used:
Cyberspace- Milani
Black Konad stamping polish

Bundle Monster plate # 221

Firstly, I'm really getting over my silly aversion to blue nail polish. I've got about 3 new blues that I am waiting to try on. Secondly after having tried Milani's purple holo Hi-Res, I fell in love and wanted more. (I used Hi-Res for a nail art mani but I'll post more pictures of it solo soon!) I tried to choose a stamp that would accentuate the dizzying effect of the polish and I am quite happy with the result!

Sort of reminds me of an optical illusion.....

Dress matching manicure

Polishes used:
Mermaid's Tears- OPI
Black- Art Deco

Went to a wedding last weekend and naturally used it as an excuse to buy a new dress. (Then accidentally found a really nice pair of shoes to go with it...) Anyway I knew Mermaid's Tears would be the perfect match!

Yellow and Purple Summer Mani

Polishes used:
Zealous- Revlon
Grape Juice- China Glaze
Purple glitter- Art Deco

A really bright summer manicure. The Revlon colour caught my attention and I had to take it home. It is pretty sheer though and took 3 coats to get a nice even look. I then tapped Grape Juice onto the corners and topped it with a purple glitter.

Crescent Moons

Polishes used:
You Don't Know Jacques- OPI
White Konad stamping polish

So I tried to create a crescent moons by dotting white and then the same base colour over top. It worked for the most part, came out a little lighter over the white polish though. Maybe two coats would have been more successful?

Fenced in Houston

Polishes used:
Houston We Have A Purple- OPI
White Konad polish

Nothing overly exciting here, just a quick stamp. The colour came out quite a bit lighter than what was in the bottle.

I Frankened!!

For those who don't know, Frankening a polish is the art of mixing polishes and adding things to polishes to create something new and unique. (Taken obviously from Frankenstein.)

From left to right I have lovingly dubbed my colours:

Shelley
To be Frank
Igor-Geous

Here are the bottles I started with:

Then I added a micro-fine glitter and a second bigger octagonal glitter to the bottles. Here is the process:

Shelley

Shelley got the bright pink treatment.

To Be Frank

To Be Frank was doused with silver glitter.

Igor-Geous

Funny things happened when I added gold glitter to the purple polish, it turned it brownish. I didn't like it at first but once I tried it on, I kind of fell for it.

In addition here is a mega Franken fail:
This was a clear top coat that I mixed a multi colour glitter into but the colours ran and turned the polish reddish-brown.

Have you ever Frankened? Do you like what I came up with? Leave me a comment below!
