Needed a little pick-me-up so I opted for a super bright Barbie pink. Tipped the manicure with a delicate mauve and the outcome reminded me of a girly version of a gym sock!
I had been wanting to do some more experimenting with striping tape. I started this manicure with a base colour of the subtle grey French Quarter For Your Thoughts and let it dry completely. The next day I tapped off this design and painted Ski Teal We Drop over top in one thick coat.
I've been getting lots of great compliments about this design, I think that the colours suit each other perfectly.
Birthday babe is a stunning matted looking silver. It takes a few tries to get used to the streaky nature of this polish, but a good top coat hides small streaks.
Added some small back details to the thumb and ring finger for extra pop.
Colder weather means pretty dark colours for me. Scooped up this baby the other day and I absolutly love it. Added some individual hexagonal glitter to spice it up.
A day or two later I decided to slap a matt top coat on. I really liked the results, but obviously the manicure was starting to wear...
In celebration of one of the most successful movie franchises in history, I bring you OPI's The Man With The Golden Gun, as today is the North American release date of the latest installment "Skyfall".
While I had no initial intentions of purchasing this bottle, I saw is yesterday and caved. Hard. If you haven't heard of this polish yet, it is a gold flecked top coat made with actual 18 karat gold. Here in Canada this bottle retails for a cool $30, and I figured that as a self proclaimed polish addict it would be a really great collectors item to have. (And as a collector I had a hard time even opening the box!)
Ze close-up:
It really is the ultimate luxury polish.....
Have you or do you plan on purchasing this bottle? Will you be seeing the ever-so-sexy Daniel Craig new James Bond film Skyfall?

There has been a particular shade of pastel orange that I have had in mind for months, and I havn't been able to find a brand that has anything close to what I'm looking for. I decided to Franken it as best I could. I'm really happy with the colour I ended up with, but the formula of NYC was pretty thick so I didn't get an amazing application.
What do you think? Do you know of a good pastel peach colour?
Manicure was inspired by a photo on Pinterest, but sadly the link doesn't seem to be working. I ended up being able to use the bursh in the Orly bottle because they tend to be thinner than most. Clean up a few little edges with a long art brush though, and used a dotting tool for the white. : )
The Halloween giveaway winner sent me an adorable picture of her cat eyeballing all the Halloween booty and I just had to share it! Hoping to get a guest post out of her.... ; )
Innocently out shopping for bath towels yesterday in Winners (Canada's TJ Maxx for all the American readers) and naturally had to stop and check out the polish section. Happened across this lone Butter London with a ripped up price tag so I inquired at the cash as to the price. They couldn't find it so they slapped a $1.99 sticker on that baby!! That's right, I scored my first Butter London for less than $2.00! The polish gods were smiling on me.
