Red Velvet by Color Club

Polishes used:
Red Velvet- Color Club
+
Hexagon glitter

Had this polish in my stash for ages and only just tried it and sadly, really don't love it. It looks amazing in the bottle, a black polish with micro red glitter, but has one of those formulas that dries rough. Even with a coat of Sech Vite it was bumpy and rough. Look closely in the picture and you can tell.

Anyone know of a good dupe for this polish?

Colour Block Mani

Polishes used:
Planks A Lot- OPI
Dim Sum Plum- OPI
Wet Cement- Sally Hansen
Evvie- Zoya
Black- Art Deco

I've been seeing a lot of these colour block manis lately, so I decided to give it a go. One of the coolest one's I have seen is from Mari's Nail Polish Blog

Here is the process:

I started with the lighter colours so the darker and more opaque ones could cover the edges.

Added more colours, trying to keep them going horizontally across my nail bed.

Finished with the darkest polish filling all the holes. Then it was just a matter of painting a thin black line between each colour.

This mani was much more stunning in real life, I find the photos don't really capture how much it really pops!
